For more than fifteen years Ben, our Managing Director and his event hire team have collaborated
with wedding venues across the UK, working together to make couples dreams a reality.

From this experience and knowledge, Ben could clearly see the need in the market for a totally venue focussed
digital offering to help newly engaged men and women in the UK with wedding venue search and
selection. As a result, in December 2018, WOW Event Hire’s sister company, WeddingBooker.com
was born.

Researching the online market for venue search engines delivered interesting results. What a
confusing online market it is! Where should couples start their planning? So much choice! Do I
choose a photographer first? If I want a specific date do I really need to ring around every venue?
What on earth does ‘rustic romance’ or ‘city chic’ actually mean when describing your type of
venue?

Similarly, wedding coordinators, event planners and sales directors are starting to question the
results coming from the subscriptions that their wedding venue has signed up for. Ben recalls a 5
star venue wedding coordinator who said she would come in every Monday, to face at least 15
